This Japanese Katana from Ab Sword is a hand-made masterpiece made from Damascus folded steel. The blade is folded 13 times, creating 8,192 layers that give it both flexibility and incredible hardness. It’s oil-quenched and carefully hand-polished through 12 steps,giving the surface a reflect-like shine,mirror effect.

The full tang blade features a Chu-kissaki tip with no bo-hi, providing extra power and slicing electricity. every part is hand-sharpened, making this katana each elegant and purposeful.

The Tsuba (guard) is made of brass with a detailed sea wave design, symbolizing strength and movement. It’s fitted with a brass habaki and two copper seppa spacers for a secure fit. The fuchi (sleeve) and kashira (end cap) are made from long lasting metal alloy.

The tsuka (handle) is made from solid hardwood, covered with real white ray skin (samegawa) and wrapped in black and white synthetic silk ito using the traditional hineri-maki style. Two copper sea-wave menuki ornaments add style and balance. The full tang is fixed with two bamboo mekugi (pegs) for safety and durability.

The saya (scabbard) is crafted from hardwood with a beautiful black and white high-gloss lacquer finish. A copper kurigata and matching white and black sageo cord complete the refined look.

This katana is completely functional, may be disassembled for maintenance, and comes with a free sword bag and a certificate of authenticity.
