This is a hand-forged Japanese katana sword crafted using traditional sword-making techniques passed down through generations. Fully hand forged and hand polished, this katana features a full tang blade forged from 1095 high carbon steel in the classic Maru structure. Shaped in the Unokubi-Zukuri style, the blade includes dual Hi grooves—one shallow and long from Habaki to Kissaki, and one deeper from the Habaki to the mid-section. It ends in a well-defined Chu-Kissaki (medium-length tip), delivering excellent balance and cutting performance.

The sword begins with a solid brass Habaki (blade collar), fitted tightly against two copper Seppa (spacers). A flower-themed Tsuba (guard) crafted from durable alloy protects the user’s hand. The Tsuka (handle) is constructed of hardwood and wrapped in black synthetic Ito (hilt cord) over genuine red Samegawa (ray skin), delivering both aesthetics and grip stability. The full tang is secured by two bamboo Mekugi (pegs), and Menuki (ornamental grips) with floral motifs are mounted beneath the wrap on each side.

The sword’s Saya (scabbard) is made from hardwood and finished with a striking red and black high-gloss lacquer. A synthetic silk Sageo (hanging cord) is tightly tied around the copper Kurigata (knob), while the hardened Koiguchi (mouth) and reinforced Kojiri (end cap) ensure durability and safe sheathing.
