This process gives the sword its beautiful wave-like grain, as well as a perfect balance of flexibility and hardness. The blade is full tang, oil quenched, and hand polished through 12 meticulous steps, giving it a smooth mirror-like surface that reflects both light and the maker’s dedication.

Each side of the blade features a long Hi (groove) for balance and sound, and the tip ends in a Chu-Kissaki (medium point)—a traditional mark of elegance and precision in Japanese swordmaking.

The tsuba (guard) is beautifully crafted with butterfly and flower motifs, paired with a brass habaki and two copper seppas, ensuring the sword’s structure is secure and stable. The fuchi (sleeve) and kashira (buttcap) are made of alloy with fine detailing that enhances the sword’s natural charm.
