The distinctive masame folding pattern is clearly visible. The blade features a full tang design, with two bamboo mekugi pegs securely fastening the tang to the tsuka (handle). The NO-HI design enhances the cutting power of the sword. Both the handle and saya (scabbard) are expertly crafted from durable natural wood, with a bull horn koiguchi (mouth of the scabbard or its fitting). This sword does not have a tsuba (guard); instead, it boasts a one-piece brass Habaki (blade collar).
