Our AbSword Handmade Japanese Katana is a testament to traditional Japanese sword-making techniques. The blade is a result of meticulous craftsmanship, folded an astonishing 13 times, creating over 8,192 exquisite layers.
To achieve its striking black and red coloration, the blade undergoes an oxidation process, making it both visually stunning and durable.
Long Hi on each side of the blade not only enhances its balance but also provides an audible response when swung, ensuring optimal performance.
The sword features a fine-finished iron round tsuba (guard) and brass habaki and seppas, adding to its elegance.
The tsuka (handle) is meticulously wrapped in black synthetic silk tsuka-ito for a secure and comfortable grip.
The saya (sheath) is a masterpiece on its own, with a black and red high-gloss finish and a thick synthetic sageo (cord).
Genuine red SAMEGAWA (ray skin) adds authenticity and texture to the handle.
The tang is securely fastened into the handle with two bamboo mekugi (pegs), ensuring stability and strength.
